Assessments and cases in the interview process

At NORDEN, we use different elements in the interview process both to help you and us to know what to expect and whether we are a good fit for one another. Please keep in mind that all elements we use during our interview process are important but none of them can individually determine our hiring decision as we look at your complete profile. Both our assessments and cases are therefore meant as tools to facilitate a dialogue.

Predictive Index

NORDEN uses Humanostics Predictive Index (PI) to assess candidates typically in connection with second interview. If you are asked to take the assessments, our recruitment team will let you know and afterwards you will receive an invitation in which you will be presented with a link to a personality profile as well as a cognitive assessment. The outcome will help us evaluate your job preferences and learning capability.

Deadline to fill in the cognitive assessment and personality profiles is no later than 24 hours prior to the interview.

Personality profile:

PI Behavioural Assessment™ (PI BA) maps personality in four motivational drives. The drives and their relation to each other establishes an individual’s drives and ultimately helps us understand the underlying needs and the associated behaviour. The profile visualises three patterns providing us with an indication of your native motivational drives “what comes naturally” in your behaviour, how you believe you need to adapt to your current work environment and how you usually behave in the workplace.

When filling in the personality profile, it is important to understand that no personality is either wrong or right so be true to what you believe matches you, as this gives the best picture of what may drive you. During the interview, it is not important that you match the result of the assessment, but that we have an open dialogue with you about why/how the profile matches and where it does not. We will always ensure that you agree with the conclusion of what drives you.

The 5–8-minute assessment is completed online.

Cognitive assessment:

PI Cognitive Assessment™ (PI CA) provides unique insight into learning ability and capacity to handle complexity and the assessment is therefore associated with success in the role and job performance. In other words, PI CA measures your ability to acquire new knowledge in the job, the ability to transfer knowledge from one job to another, your problem solving, readiness for change and learning pace.

The 12 min. speed assessment is completed online and contains 50 multiple choice questions from 3 content categories (verbal, numerical, and abstract). To get a hang on the 3 content categories and their level of difficulty, we recommend that you take out time in your preparation to take practise tests on PI’s website

When you have prepared using the practise tests and are ready to take the final assessment, it is important to station yourself in an optimal setting. We recommend that you find a room with a good internet connection where you will not be disturbed during the assessment.

Cases

For some positions, you will be presented with cases which helps us to understand your approach to problem-solving and to show us your skills within specific areas. The cases are therefore meant to give you the opportunity to show us what you can do - instead of telling us.
